Our Story

In August 2022, the community of Pré d'en-Haut in Memramcook, New Brunswick, faced a difficult decision: the beloved 1945 rectory, rich in history and local character, was set to be demolished due to costly repairs. But what could have been the end of an era became the beginning of something truly special.

Local visionary Don Belliveau saw the building's potential and gave it a new lease on life—literally—by moving it across the street to a stunning riverside location along the Petitcodiac River. Over the next three years, the 5,200 sq ft rectory was meticulously restored, with an additional 2,200 sq ft event space built to accommodate unforgettable gatherings.

Once the set of the Radio-Canada series À la Valdrague, this beautifully transformed space is now ready to host weddings, family reunions, ATV tour groups, corporate retreats, and more. Surrounded by natural beauty and steeped in Acadian heritage, our venue is more than just a place—it's a labour of love brought to life through vision, dedication, and community spirit.

Welcome to the Memramcook Valley Retreat, the place where memories are made and stories begin.
